The Abu Dhabi Judicial Department has initiated an awareness campaign to combat domestic violence, aiming to educate the public about family rights and highlight the consequences for violators.
The campaign, named “Violence… the End of Family Stability,” is organized by the Centre for Legal and Community Awareness and will span three months, with a significant emphasis on leveraging social media for messaging.
Counselor Yousef Saeed Al Abri, the Undersecretary of ADJD, stressed the critical importance of the Centre in safeguarding the community through preventative strategies. This effort includes boosting legal and community awareness to ensure the protection of rights enshrined in law, in line with the guidance of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Vice President and Deputy Prime Minister of the UAE, and the Chairman of both the Presidential Court and ADJD.
Counselor Dr. Muhammad Rashid Al Dhanhani, the Director of the Abu Dhabi Centre for Legal and Community Awareness, further highlighted the campaign’s objective to enlighten the community about the significance of promoting familial dialogue and cultivating a culture of mutual respect to safeguard the integrity and welfare of families. He underscored the vital role of a robust family unit in the social and educational advancement of society, enhancing self-esteem, respect, and mutual appreciation among family members.
