As part of Dubai AI Week, the General Directorate of Identity and Foreigners Affairs – Dubai (GDRFA) is set to launch the 8th International Conference on Quality in Education (ICEQ) under the theme: “AI Innovations: Future Foresight for Empowering Public Institutions and Enhancing Educational Quality.”
Scheduled to take place from April 22 to 24, 2025, the conference will begin at the Grand Hyatt Dubai and continue at the GDRFA headquarters in Al Jafiliya. The three-day event aims to bring together global experts, researchers, academics, and students to discuss the transformative impact of artificial intelligence on education and public sector services.
With over 500 participants expected, ICEQ 2025 has attracted strong interest from both local and international communities. More than 200 research papers were submitted by university students and professionals, reflecting the growing momentum around AI-driven innovation. The final agenda includes a diverse lineup of presentations, workshops, and panel discussions featuring thought leaders from academia and government.
Key sponsors of the conference include tech giants Dell and Emaratech, with additional participation from Microsoft and Google. The sessions will spotlight how AI technologies can enhance educational outcomes, streamline government operations, and empower public institutions to embrace digital transformation.
Among the headline sessions is a keynote titled “How Major Universities are Building Their AI Capabilities – A Case Study in Collaboration with Dell,” which explores how universities are integrating AI into their infrastructure and curriculum to support next-generation learning.
A panel discussion, “Using AI Smartly in Education,” will focus on developing interactive AI-powered learning tools and improving student engagement through technology. Another keynote, “Independent Government Services Powered by Generative AI,” will showcase how AI is revolutionizing public service delivery by increasing efficiency and reducing reliance on traditional processes.
Google Cloud will also take center stage in a keynote session titled “AI Innovations on Google Cloud: Enabling Government and Education,” demonstrating how cloud-based AI is being used to drive advancements in both sectors. A second panel discussion, “AI for Empowering Public Institutions,” will examine the strategic deployment of AI to strengthen institutional performance and promote service innovation.
In addition to expert-led sessions, attendees will have the opportunity to explore the latest AI technologies from leading tech firms through interactive exhibitions. The event also highlights student innovation, with over 40 AI research projects submitted by university students, offering hands-on insights into emerging technologies.
ICEQ 2025 reflects GDRFA’s strong commitment to fostering a knowledge-based society through investment in science, technology, and research.
