Russian-American YouTuber Vitaly Zdorovetskiy, widely known as “Vitaly Z.,” remains in custody at the Bureau of Immigration Detention Center in Taguig City, Philippines, following a series of controversial incidents livestreamed to his global audience.
He was arrested in early April 2025 after a string of disruptive public stunts in Bonifacio Global City, where he was seen engaging in erratic behavior including theft attempts and harassment of both civilians and security personnel. The events triggered multiple legal complaints and public outcry.
Zdorovetskiy now faces several charges under local law, including unjust vexation, theft, and attempted theft—some of which are linked to cybercrime violations. He has been labeled an “undesirable foreign national,” yet deportation proceedings have been postponed until his legal matters in the Philippines are resolved.
Currently, he remains behind bars in a detention center known for its challenging conditions—overcrowded cells, lack of air conditioning, and basic meals. A trial date has yet to be officially set, and legal experts caution that his case could drag on for years due to the backlog in the Philippine judicial system.
While speculation continues about potential bail or plea deals, no developments have been confirmed. For now, Vitaly Z. continues to await the next phase of his legal journey under detention.
