Can Vitaly Zdorovetskiy Be Released From Jail Earlier Than Expected?

As of April 29, 2025, Russian-American YouTuber Vitaly Zdorovetskiy remains in custody in the Philippines, facing multiple criminal charges stemming from a series of controversial livestreams. The possibility of an early release appears unlikely given the severity of the allegations and the current legal proceedings.

Zdorovetskiy was arrested on April 2, 2025, in Manila after livestreaming incidents that included harassment of locals and theft. He faces charges such as unjust vexation, alarm and scandal, and attempted theft. If convicted on all counts, he could face up to 24 years in prison.

Detention and Deportation

Philippine authorities have labeled Zdorovetskiy an “undesirable foreign national” and a “flight risk.” As a result, he is being held at the Bureau of Immigration Bicutan Detention Center in Camp Bagong Diwa, Taguig, pending the outcome of his legal proceedings. Deportation has been delayed until the legal process concludes.

Prospects for Early Release

Given the serious nature of the charges and the Philippine government’s stance on holding him accountable under local law, an early release for Zdorovetskiy is improbable at this time. Legal analysts suggest that, if convicted, he could remain incarcerated for several years, potentially until he is nearing 40 years old.

While there have been no official statements regarding the possibility of early release, any developments would likely depend on the outcomes of his trials and any subsequent legal appeals.
