Dubai Municipality is taking part in the 32nd Arabian Travel Market (ATM) 2025, one of the world’s top events for the travel and tourism industry.
At the event, held at Dubai World Trade Centre from 28th April to 1st May, the Municipality will highlight its best practices and showcase its innovative tourism projects. These efforts reflect Dubai’s ambition to strengthen its position as a global tourism and entertainment hub, combining modern innovation with future-focused strategies.
Among the main highlights is the AED2 billion Therme Dubai project—the first of its kind in the Middle East and the tallest facility of its type in the world. Designed to improve the quality of life for residents and visitors, Therme Dubai will offer spa experiences and an interactive garden. It also supports the goals of the Dubai Quality of Life Strategy, which aims to place Dubai among the top 10 cities worldwide for quality of life by 2033.
Dubai Municipality will also present a range of innovative developments aimed at transforming Dubai’s public beaches. These projects are set to enhance the beauty, appeal, and international reputation of Dubai’s coastline, offering world-class tourism experiences for both residents and visitors.
In addition, the Municipality will highlight new recreational and sports facilities, including the 9.7-kilometre mountain walking trail at Mushrif National Park—the longest trail of its kind in Dubai’s urban heart. The park’s new Mushrif Hub will offer a variety of leisure activities. Also featured is the Hatta Mountain Bike Trail, an 86-kilometre network with 21 cycling lanes and 17 walking trails, designed to offer exciting experiences for adventure enthusiasts and tourists alike.
As part of its commitment to preserving Dubai’s cultural heritage, Dubai Municipality will also showcase upgrades to historic areas like Deira Souq. The Heritage and Tourist Trails Project will renovate 1,740 metres of traditional market pathways, combining modern infrastructure with historical charm. New facilities include a women’s prayer area that is accessible for people of determination, innovative shading structures, upgraded lighting, smart bathrooms, and additional seating.
Bader Anwahi, CEO of the Public Facilities Agency at Dubai Municipality, emphasized the importance of ATM as a key platform for the tourism sector. He stated, “Dubai Municipality is proud to showcase our future vision for tourism, built around sustainability, innovation, and enhanced quality of life. These projects will help position Dubai as a leading global destination for living, visiting, and investing.”
He added, “Developing unique tourism experiences is central to our work. By designing smart, sustainable recreational spaces that blend Emirati heritage with modern tourism concepts, we are creating integrated destinations that meet the needs of both residents and visitors, enhancing overall well-being and lifestyle in Dubai.
