Latest News About Vitaly Zdorovetskiy Case In Philippines

As of May 2025, Russian-American YouTuber and livestreamer Vitaly Zdorovetskiy, known for his controversial pranks, remains in custody in the Philippines following his arrest on April 2, 2025. He faces multiple criminal charges stemming from a series of disruptive incidents during a livestream in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig.

Arrest and Charges

Zdorovetskiy was apprehended after engaging in several acts that caused public disturbance, including harassing security personnel, stealing items such as a security guard’s cap and an electric fan from a restaurant, and attempting to steal a patrol motorcycle. These actions were part of a livestream that drew widespread criticism. He has been charged with multiple offenses under Philippine law, including unjust vexation, theft, and attempted theft.

Detention Conditions

Currently detained at the Bureau of Immigration Bicutan Detention Center in Taguig City, Zdorovetskiy is awaiting legal proceedings. Reports indicate that the facility lacks air conditioning, with temperatures reaching up to 97°F, and that inmates receive meals costing approximately $1.20 daily.

Philippine authorities have labeled Zdorovetskiy an “undesirable foreign national,” but deportation proceedings are on hold pending the resolution of his local cases. Legal analysts suggest that, due to court backlogs, his trial could be delayed by 2–3 years. If convicted on all charges, he faces a potential prison sentence of up to 24 years.

Public and Government Response

The Philippine government has taken a firm stance on the matter. Interior Secretary Jonvic Remulla stated that Zdorovetskiy would not be deported immediately but would instead face the consequences of his actions under Philippine law.  Additionally, the Department of Tourism condemned his behavior, emphasizing the importance of respecting local laws and culture.

As of now, no trial date has been publicly confirmed. Zdorovetskiy’s case continues to draw attention, highlighting the potential legal repercussions of online content creation that crosses legal boundaries.
