Fortnite has launched its latest season, Chapter 6 Season 3, titled “Galactic Battle,” immersing players in a Star Wars-themed adventure. The update introduces new characters, locations, and gameplay mechanics, offering a fresh experience for both Fortnite and Star Wars enthusiasts.
A Star Wars-Themed Universe
“Galactic Battle” transforms the Fortnite island with iconic Star Wars elements. Players can explore new locations such as the First Order Base, Resistance Base, and Vader’s Samurai Fortress. These areas replace previous landmarks, providing unique challenges and rewards.
The Battle Pass features characters like Poe Dameron, General Grievous, and Emperor Palpatine. Additionally, players can engage in weekly Star Wars-themed events, culminating in a live showdown against Emperor Palpatine.
Exclusive Star Wars Arsenal
In a significant shift, traditional Fortnite weapons have been replaced with Star Wars armaments. Players can wield lightsabers, various blasters (E-11, F-11, A280-ECE), and thermal imploders. This exclusive arsenal is available for the duration of the season in core game modes.
Enhanced Movement Mechanics
Chapter 6 introduces new movement abilities to enhance gameplay:
- Ledge Jump: Leap further when sprinting near ledges.
- Roll Landing: Perform a roll upon landing to regain stamina.
- Wall Kick: Kick off walls to change direction mid-air.
- Wall Scramble: Climb vertical surfaces to reach higher areas.
These mechanics are available across all game modes, including Battle Royale and Creative.
Season Duration and Events
“Galactic Battle” runs from May 2 to June 7, 2025. Players have 36 days to complete the Battle Pass and participate in themed events. The season concludes with a live event titled “The Final Showdown: Death Star Sabotage,” where players confront Emperor Palpatine’s plans.
