In early March 2025, Dutch entrepreneurs and brothers Samuel and Reuben Onuha were reportedly arrested in Dubai on drug-related charges. The siblings, known for founding the fashion brand Icon Amsterdam, allegedly faced accusations involving the possession of a significant quantity of illegal substances.
Reports indicated that the arrests occurred following a raid on Samuel’s residence in Palm Jumeirah, where authorities purportedly discovered a substantial amount of drugs. The brothers, originally from the Netherlands with Nigerian heritage, had been prominent figures in the fashion and social media industries, often showcasing a lavish lifestyle.
The Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs acknowledged awareness of the situation but stated that it had not been requested to provide legal assistance. Family members of the Onuha brothers declined to comment on the matter. 
As of now, there have been no official statements from Dubai authorities regarding the specifics of the charges or the current status of the Onuha brothers.
