The Global Wealth Forum has announced the appointment of Paul Tungwarara to its prestigious International Council to represent Zimbabwe, marking a significant milestone in his career as a global business leader.
Paul Tungwarara’s appointment underscores the Forum’s commitment to assembling a diverse and high-caliber leadership team to drive its mission of fostering economic growth and wealth creation across Africa and beyond. With his extensive experience in business strategy and investment facilitation, he is expected to play a crucial role in shaping the Forum’s initiatives and strengthening its global impact.
In addition to Tungwarara’s appointment, the Forum has also shortlisted Paul Tungwarara for election as Chairman of the SADC region. If elected, Tungwarara will lead efforts to expand the Forum’s influence in Southern Africa and create wealth-building opportunities for entrepreneurs and investors.
A Dubai-based Zimbabwean entrepreneur, Tungwarara is the founder and chairman of Prevail International Group, a conglomerate with interests in construction, mining, shipping, and borehole drilling. He also spearheaded the Zimbabwe Presidential Borehole Scheme, aimed at improving water access across the country, and was later commissioned to lead the Presidential Internet Scheme, Home Industries Project, and Solar Scheme. Additionally, he is the founder of Talk and Pay, Zimbabwe’s first locally owned social media and financial transaction platform.
As a Presidential Investment Advisor to Zimbabwe’s government, Tungwarara has played a key role in attracting investments, including a $500 million Cyber City project in partnership with Dubai billionaire Shaji Ul Mulk.
Paul Tungwarara is also leading the Presidential War Veterans Fund and the Presidential Youth Fund, both of which are currently in the process of being launched
In recognition of his contributions, he was named the Overall Top Investor in the Diaspora at the 2024 Africa Investment Leaders Forum and Awards.
The Global Wealth Forum is known for its ambitious goal of establishing the world’s largest database of High-Net-Worth Individuals (HNWIs). Currently, the Forum’s database includes 21 billionaires and 131 millionaires, with a combined net worth expected to reach $500 billion USD by 2028. Through this expansive network, the Forum seeks to foster collaborations, provide mentorship, and promote financial literacy, further solidifying its role as a key driver of global wealth and investment.
