A Season of Unforgettable Experiences
Located in the heart of Copenhagen, Tivoli Gardens is Denmark’s largest tourist attraction, renowned for its enchanting atmosphere and rich cultural offerings. The 2024 summer season, which runs until September 22, promises a vibrant mix of concerts, floral displays, and entertainment for all ages. Visitors can look forward to the Tivoli Garden & Flower Festival (August 31 – September 15), as well as the Summer Classical festival, featuring performances from some of the world’s finest musicians.
In celebration of the 180th anniversary of the Tivoli Youth Guard, the world’s oldest youth marching band, the park will host a grand anniversary concert on September 1. Throughout the season, guests can enjoy the sight of the Guard members, resplendent in their red uniforms and bearskin hats, as they march through the Gardens.
Anniversary Celebrations for Iconic Attractions
Tivoli Gardens also marks significant anniversaries for two of its most beloved attractions: the Roller Coaster and the Ferris Wheel. This year celebrates the 110th anniversary of the heritage Roller Coaster and the 140th anniversary of the Ferris Wheel, both of which continue to thrill visitors from around the world.
A Culinary Destination of Excellence
Copenhagen has long been recognized as a culinary capital, and Tivoli Gardens is no exception. In 2023, Condé Nast Traveler highlighted Tivoli as “Copenhagen’s hottest food destination.” This year, visitors can indulge in a wide array of dining experiences, from traditional Danish smørrebrød to contemporary fine dining.
Tivoli Gardens proudly introduces the 90-year-old Færgekroen (Ferry Inn), now operated by the iconic Danish brewery Mikkeller. Guests can savor classic dishes like schnitzel and breaded fillet of plaice, alongside Mikkeller’s tempting vegetarian options.
A Year of Dance and Cultural Highlights
2024 is a banner year for dance at Tivoli Gardens. The world-renowned New York City Ballet will perform at the Tivoli Concert Hall from August 14 to 18, marking their highly-anticipated return to Denmark. Additionally, the Pantomime Theatre, celebrating its 150th anniversary, will host approximately 300 performances, including a new ballet production based on Hans Christian Andersen’s “Clumsy Hans.” This unique production features set and costume design by HM Queen Margrethe, choreography by Tobias Praetorius, and music by Phillip Faber.

Music is at the heart of Tivoli Gardens. The summer season will feature a diverse lineup of concerts, from jazz and classical music to pop and rock performances. The Friday Rock concerts on the Open-Air Stage will showcase top Danish and international artists, including soul icon Diana Ross and funk legend Chaka Khan.
